SALAÐ ÐRESSING ANÐ ₣RUIŦ CUŦŦING

ѕαℓα∂ ∂яєѕѕιηg is an emulsion:

  • a mixture of two unblendable liquids, in which one liquid ( vinegar) forms tiny droplets within the other. When the vinegar is suspended in the oil, it forms a thick, glossy mixture.
  • Vinaigrette-type dressings are unstable – the oil and vinegar will separate again if they are left to stand around for too long. A good dressing should complement the salad, and not overpower it.
You can keep your salad dressing in a jar in the fridge for up to a week. Bring it up to room temperature and make sure it is well combined before using it.

LEARNING SESSION | NAPKIN FOLDING :)

    CANDLE NAPKIN FOLDING

1.Lay the napkin face down in front of you.

2.Fold the napkin in half diagonally.

3.Fold the long side up just about an inch. Press this fold down well or it will interfere with the next step.

4.Starting at either end, tightly roll the napkin into a cylinder. Take care to roll it straight so it will stand solidly.

5.Tuck the end of the roll into the base on the backside and stand it up. Put those matches down, it's not a real candle

    BUNNY NAPKIN FOLDING

     1.Fold the napkin in half

2.Fold the right and left sides up to meet in the center, forming a point at one end.

3.Fold the side corners in so they meet in the center, but don't fold exactly straight. Pull up above the center point, and you'll start to see the ears shape up. The napkin will form a kite shape.

4.Gently turn your napkin over.Fold the bottom point up, so that it is roughly 1” above the center of the napkin.

5.Roll the left side over, slightly past the center of the napkin.

6.Fold the right side over, tucking the end into the pocket you created on the left side, holding your napkin together.Turn the napkin upright, separating the bottom to form a base. Fluff your bunny’s ears.

    SNOWFLAKE NAPKIN FOLDING

1.Begin with a pressed, lightly starched, large napkin. Lay the napkin right side up and diagonally on a flat surface. Fold the top corner to the imaginary center point. Fold the bottom corner to the imaginary center point. Fold both the right and left corners to the imaginary center point.

2.Gently pick up napkin and turn over so that the folds are faced downward on the table.

3.Again, fold all corners toward the imaginary center point.

4.Gently turn napkin over so that the new folds are faced downward on the table.

5.One last time, fold the corners to the imaginary center point.

6.Pull out each corner to the outside. The napkin will resemble a snowflake when you have finished.

    BIRD OF PARADISE NAPKIN FOLDING

1.Lay the napkin flat out in front of you. If the napkin has labels tags or a folded seam ensure that these are facing upwards to begin with.

2.Fold the napkin in half to the opening is towards you.

3.Fold the napkin in half again so it is now a square a quarter of its original size. The opening should be bottom left now.

4.Take the bottom left corner (the open ended one) and fold the napkin in half towards the top right.

5.Have the triangle laid out in front of you so the long edge is facing you. Now take the right corner and fold it over half of the napkin.Take the left hand side now and repeat the fold. They should meet in the middle

6.Take the right hand side bottom flap and tuck it underneath.Do the same with the left hand flap.

7.You now want to fold the napkin in half. The easiest way to do this is place your thumbs underneath the napkin and then simultaneously come up with your thumbs and push down with your finger.
